The Czech Republic is bullish on lightning payments, and here's why: 1. The dominant online marketplace is not Amazon, but https://alza.cz, which sells a wide range of products. One of the unique features of this site is that it accepts lightning payments. 2. Many restaurants use https://www.qerko.com/, a service that provides QR codes for customers to pay their bills without needing to interact with staff. This service also accepts lightning payments, much to the delight of introverts. 3. The Bitcoin community in the Czech Republic is well-versed in the use of lightning. They frequently use LNURLs, addresses at events, and NFC payments. It's rare to find a Bitcoin user here who doesn't accept lightning. If they own a shop or restaurant, there's a high chance that they'll accept Bitcoin as a form of payment. Peer-to-peer trading with lightning is also common. I adore the Czech Republic, and not just for the beer!

Interesting, thanks for sharing, will check the payment company out.
Agreed. On other hand if you scroll through czech mainstream media, there is no coverage of the conference, with some tiny exceptions.
They will only report on it at the top of the bullmarket. That's how it works everywhere. But I expect some interviews to surface with a delay.
Wow, very cool. I work for a Forbes rated, high end restaurant. It would be amazing to see this sort of thing implemented and accepted. Wild times. The future appears bright......orange.
