It’s Chris that nearly everyone I see on nostr or hear on a podcast is against this new change to Core, and yet it’s still being pushed through… is it an issue with my “sample” data? Or are core devs just saying “gfo” to most users’ preferences?

Listen to Shinobi on Walker's pod recently to get the side you don't see yet.
I'm seeing most of the pushback on nostr and more in favor on podcasts personally, but there's a lot of podcasts and I picked my favorites long before this started. The opposition views this as an existential threat to Bitcoin and is very angry and vocal about it. I don't think those in favor (or neutral) view this as being as huge a deal as the other side is making it out to be. There have been some very harsh words directed at core devs and accusations that those in favor are not "true Bitcoiners". It's not a conducive environment for healthy discussion because even the more rational opposition posts are filled with comments calling people names.
Can I ask what podcasts do you listen to that are opposed? I am open to listening to all perspectives.
Thanks. I haven't made my decision upgrade or switch to Knott's yet because I haven't heard the other side's argument.
Neither, imho. Vocal people, on either side of the argument, are the minority. Core devs know this and are just counting on a silent majority of users who don't know/care, who will run whatever the main implementation is, to win this battle for them.
Danny on What Bitcoin Did recently covered both sides. Shinobi was on a few days ago and the Mechanic was on. Also there was a good debate held.
