Y'all...serious #question....
Anyone bothering visiting nostr #profile pages at all? Or are the majority just falling for the staying in the never ending scroll?
It's just that I honestly worry, as the middle-aged grandma I already am, about the growth of anything good. What I mean by that, I actually remember the MySpace days, I remember actually accessing the internet before browsers even existed! & when my mom convinced me to try using Facebook (which I hate but I have to use cuz the woman can only use her phone that way!), back then it was very neat. You could "visit" your loved ones from far away!!!
But then, everyone just started to literally ONLY STAY on the feed screen. This truly is a despicable design. It wears me out. It makes me feel utterly lost. Not only does it make it very hard for me see what's shared by those I follow (regardless of settings), but it makes it impossible & even un-interesting for those who follow you to find you!
It feels like a race to the bottom, like a competition for eyeballs... for anyone's eyeballs by design. I honestly believe the idea is not to develop connections anymore, but only create the appearance of connections, as fleeting as they may be.
I hate it, and I hate it because I too fall for the feed.
I need to preach to myself to remind myself I am a woman, not a machine, and I should also put in some effort to visit profiles myself!!
This I pray!
