The beauty with all of this stuff is that we have choice. People like @Vitor Pamplona are on the side of decentralization and choice (I love him for that) while others go the other way or somewhere between the two extremes. I tend to try the major stuff at least once to see what people are doing, but I tend to agree with the philosophy of decentralization. More so when it has good UI/UX, which is always being improved. Vitor was discussing something similar related to GrapheneOS. I see his point that we don't have to sacrifice good principles for convenience, which seems to be the case with some applications.
