freud has been unfairly maligned, largely the result of some antisemitic radical feminists who saw the misogyny in his work and exaggerated it to make him out to be the source of all women's problems in the west. in reality there is a great deal of depth and humanity in his writings, and the seeds of an understanding of human psychology that I believe can one day liberate us from all forms of domination. and a lot of that comes from the mystical and mythological transitions he took influence from. I've worked my way through the entire standard edition of his collected writings in English and intend to read some of his books in German someday. it's deeply important stuff. #bookstr #philosophy #psychology #mysticism
