Marx was raised Lutheran, baptized at age 6. His dad converted from Judaism to Christianity. His Grandparents were Jews. In the end he was atheist. Marxism despises all religion, even Judaism. Karl Marx pulled most of his ideas from Hegel, who was a heretic Lutheran Christian that based his nonsense on non-Christian religious beliefs. Marx took Hegel's gnostic religion and applied it to the state, where he claimed society demiurge beast that oppresses man and the state is the savior of mankind, and mankind is God. Marxism is it's own religion hellbent on seizing control of mankind and forcing mankind into living communism generation ofter generation until mankind knows no other way to live and lives communism on it's own without the existence of a state. They believe this is how the state "saves" mankind.
