UK politics popping off right now. Huge swing away from the two party system and massive gains for Reform, whose leader Nigel Farage is close with Donald Trump and has very similar policies, e.g. limiting immigration, deporting illegals, and setting up a DOGE in the UK. Reform has even beaten Labour in left wing Northern cities like Doncaster. To put that into context for Americans, this is the equivalent of California voting for Republicans. image

Lmao. I know, I know. But keep in mind both of the two major parties have lost big time. The two party system is actually collapsing at a historical level. Which means genuine change might actually happen. If it was just swapping one establishment party for another I'd agree with you but it's not. Yes we're all anti-statist here I know but an anti-establishment party that wants a small government just got a shitload of votes so that's aligned man.

This bloke is the head of what is now the most popular political party in the UK. Talk is cheap, ofc, but Farage was debanked himself and got really into Bitcoin afterwards, so this is something that's of personal significance to him. And best of all, opposition to CBDCs is explicitly in the Reform manifesto. They don't just dislike the idea, they want to pass a law directly prohibiting the creation of any CBDCs. This is one extremely based reason why I was so excited when the local elections were called. image image image nostr:nevent1qqsgqvpzx2msfjgugslmdrhl38sqxfdc94smgd2qr2lchnk38hyhpscpzemhxue69uhkummnw3ez6un9d3shjtnpwpcz7q3q7rlc0emedw5xljztfqrmykjaacsx6ujvdas64zznjadrnhhwlavqxpqqqqqqzmt44st
