Why cowardly, what should they have done differently if the pressure from the USG is likely happening now? Alternatives were to: - wait around un-registered in the US market and likely incriminate themselves further - start pursuing kyc and compliance, which would also mean they'd absolutely need to shut down asap until compliant They made the only move they could as a custodial service imo. It's why @Blink Wallet has never served US users from the start
They knew about this decision to pull for a time period and didnt give customers that knowledge. Its not a should they have just waited around situation.
For many parts of the world, 'Thanks Giving' isn't even on the calendar... WoS are not US based, therefore it's somewhat unreasonable to expect them to be mindful of US public holidays...
Unless you're a gov't insider or a WoS employee you don't know anything about when they realized they needed to do something about US users and how long they "sat on" that info If it's a case of pressure from gov't, usually you're not allowed to tell your users, at risk of making things much worse for yourself if you do (assuming you've decided to comply)
