If you set it with provider like open router or nano-gpt you can have it working with some open weight model like Kimi 2.5 for a few bucks a month but still security and privacy concers remain.

It's running Komi 2.5 through openrouter but it still seems a little pricey. It's also just for fun on a spare mini pc I have.

Nano-gpt.com has Kimi2.5 and other like GLM, qwen etc included in USD8/month subscription.

Less of a question but more of a venting: I can't get Openclaw to work with my Ollama models! Because, yea, local hosting is important. I am not extremely technical literate and I haven't successfully implemented the 'fixes' that I have found in the documentation or discord server. Hah, gonna have to drop discord anyway with the ID verification that they want to do
