I cannot tell you how many times some fool has told me that this is all just an imaginary anomaly of our ability to diagnose these diseases. Just incredible.

Don't you just "love" that bit... Our tech is better so we are better able to define and diagnose the ever widening array of diseases and maladies that have been inflicted on this society by the very entities that are tasked with "fixing" the situation. Astonishing the cognitive disonance and brain washing that is going on to accomplish this feat that will hopefully be remembered as a lesson for the future.
I blame endocrine disruptors. Also they cause trans people.
