Too many devs in bitcoin came to it from purely a technical side, and it shows. Have some humility and realize that bitcoin isn’t just software. It’s not another open source project. You don’t understand it better because you understand the technical details.

If you think that, then you might be surrounded by too many devs. I call myself a bitcoin developer, and I imagine that I program humans with propositional logic. I know it's weird. You have a point, but I think Guy Swann is an excellent bitcoin dev on the 2nd order effect. We need to be thinking about the next generation of those now onboard so that they get the proper guidance to pass the torch. Anyway, the link below will explain my rational thinking behind your statement.
You don't have to be a mechanic either to drive a car, but it sure helps when things go wrong. Understanding how #bitcoin and your computer work is essential for securing you stash and living your life as a self sovereign individual without having to depend on third parties. For the rest all you need to know is how to hodl and you will live happily ever after🐸

Difficult one, however I only partly agree, everyone in this age should be able to read code with the help of AI
Saying “Bitcoin isn’t just another OSS project” is like saying the Internet isn’t just another communications tool. Bitcoin is the culmination of OSS values. OSS birthed Bitcoin. Without it, Bitcoin wouldn’t be sovereign, secure, or decentralized. Devs didn’t miss the point — they are the point.
