Sometimes it just hits me how much I care.
I put my whole heart into conversations — show up curious, present, genuine — and still end up met with silence.
I know people drift, I know life gets messy. But it still hurts when energy isn’t met, when presence fades into nothing.
Because when I show up, I mean it. Always have, always will.

I feel you! I’ve had to learn to be conservative with where - and to whom - I direct that conversational energy to, it’s a conscious effort.
Better to match people's energy (if you can). That way you won't be upset when they don't appear to meet your expectations.
