We should probably eliminate at least 50% of student visas. I would start with the all the Chinese grad students myself as most don’t stay and thus it makes no sense to educate the competition

Or you could be aware that there’s massive strategic and cultural advantage to having foreign students coming to learn in your country. You get to sell them on your culture, language, model of working. If you believe in a nationalist competition between countries you what their best people to come study, work, and research in your country. You win the talent war.
