No. Settlers don't show up and start killing everyone They build there own communities without shooting locals. They do their own thing without forcing the locals or the nation to comply with the settler ideology and settler religious beliefs. Settlers are an organic movement, not a political or military forced movement. My family and extending family have been settling communities in Mexico for decades. We become friends and companions with the Mexicans. We don't shoot them and declare their land is ours. We buy the land from them, and sell it back when we move out.

Settlers in the context of Israel has always been a violent displacement of the natives there. I don't know if that was Mr. Bar's point but that is the definition of Israeli settlers specifically.

There is power in choice of words. Jews call themselves "settlers" in the mainstream propaganda media that they control to make themselves look like they're not the invaders that truly they are.

I guess, you haven't read or forgot the history of Spanish and other European "settlers" in Mexico and elsewhere in the "Americas".💡

I would not say that settlers are always invaders or attackers, but they often are, or supported by them. You can be both. Looking at known history, settlements have very often been related to invasion at some point. I agree there is also manipulation in wording though.

Also, looking at history is probably biased, as invasions are more documented than peaceful settlements.
