first off, I find it astonishing that on a free speech platform like nostr, a user like flash can post a video that is clearly showing someone working to violate people's first amendment rights, and only 1 out of 16,000+ followers comments on it... mind blowing and disappointing engagement... but then again, I keep seeing comments about nostr being dead... maybe it is? secondly, for those not understanding the implication of the ADL video posted, let me spell it out for you... greenblatt exclaims we need to "pull down the most offensive hate speech" from social media sites, etc... iow, we will not allow anyone to criticize israel or any jew without calling them despicable antisemites... we will work to dismantle the first amendment's freedom of speech by creating anti-hate speech laws that work to censor our critics and silence social media dissent... and if we feel your microphone is too big, we will work to destroy you via character assignation, lawfare, censorship, deplatforming, etc. as I stated the other day, the ongoing, daily bad israel behaviors grow tiresome... and most people have been conditioned for decades that criticizing jews eez verboten... so they don't engage despite the bad behavior directly impacting something they care deeply about (i.e. the first amendment)... first they came for the "racist hate speechers", but I wasn't a racist hate speecher... you get the point. scott adams recently passed, but when he was alive and kicking, he understood what hate speech laws and ever-changing antisemitic definitions would do to threaten his platform... and having consumed his content for years, I never saw him so emotionally fired up over anything like the following... as a staunch first amendment supporter and nostr freedom tech proponent, I have to agree with him:
