This is driving me crazy. I have been shopping for a new bed for months. What seems like all foam and hybrid mattresses recommend a Foundation or Platform that has solid slates spread no further than 3 inches apart. Almost all of them have slates 4-5 inches apart. Regardless of them being wood or metal. What sort of tomfoolery is this?

I knew I should have just bought a Shikibuton and slept on the floor again...

The Purple Foundation stands out. Superior airflow and support. The queen is freaking $495. Their high-density polyethylene Foundation must have some secret ingredient. Maybe it smells like grape soda.

Irked. The dillema has led me to a Mattress Foundation that has slats spaced 3 inches apart and not ridiculously overpriced. Then it was delivered with an arbitration clause. Do not buy Zinus.
