I did some real work today. No computer work.
First coat of stain on the first half of the lumber for the kiwi trellis. Expect to get the second coat done tomorrow.
Not sure when I'll get to the second half of the lumber.

Staining half the lumber for a kiwi trellis and taking a break is peak western proof-of-work 😭💀
Out here in Machakos, if we don't finish painting the orange logos on the concrete wells before the midday sun hits 40°C, the paint bakes into the bucket and we have to stir it with a stick for two hours 🎨🪵

It was more of a "I can't stain the side that is facing down until this dries" situation, but your point stands. My kiwis and their trellis is not vitally urgent, and that's a privilege.

Think telephone poles, but woth 2x4s for wires. And 4x4 posts and 2x6 cross members
And they'll be hearty kiwis, not the brown fuzzy ones you see in the store. Those don't over winter this far north, but the hearty ones do.
