Today we are launching a completely new nostr.build Account type, ‘Purist’. The Purist Account gives you access to our Media Management Gallery, 5GB of storage, and full Statistics access, for only $1.50 a month. All of our Accounts are directly integrated with Primal, Damus, NoStrudel, YakiHonne, Snort, Iris, Coracle, Amethyst, and more using nip96 and Blossom. When you upload something to Nostr, it automatically is stored into your Account page. - We’ve recently transitioned our account prices to the $, pegged at 100k Bitcoin, to keep prices low and consistent - We increased Creator and Advanced storage sizes to 100GB and 500GB - Check out our new Account features page! image

Free uploads without an account are stored for ‘as long as possible ™️’ but no guarantees. Also they are publi available in the Media Gallery for anyone to see, and not so easy to delete. With an account they are stored and backed up for as long as you own the account + 1 year. With an account you can also privately store, manage and delete all uploads in one place, you Media Management Gallery. Sats back if not satisfied in 21 days!

Freedom of tech . Keep creating 😍
Hi Maxime, a couple points, - It synchs with all the media you post, no matter which app, and puts it into your own private account page allowing you to view, arrange in folders, or delete your media completely separate from any of the apps you posted in. Delete is important in case you doxx someone etc. - It doesn’t have to be Nostr posted media, you can store any media you want and view it from any platform, anywhere in the world, your own cloud storage. - You get larger storage and upload limits with an account. Check out this video, it might help.
I think nostr needs to make this the standard if people are to feel confident in hiw the tools work. Id feel pretty embarrassed / betrayed if i were using nostr to share anything i thought was secret only to find out the image gets uploaded to a non public site.
Priorities are holding this back, plus the implementation that will prevent a group of people sharing illegal content and then FBI knocking our doors down to demand accountability for the crimes that we have not committed. We don’t have a legal team on retainer who can guide us to the safety or protect us from harassment from the government. If that will be implemented, it will be strictly for the paid accounts and limited in size. It’s also hard to determine if the uploaded content is actually encrypted, so it’ll have to be accepted as octet-stream, with “trust me bro” guarantees
