There are several signer apps for iOS now. Do you recommend any of them for flotilla? I notice DMs seem to want you to use a signer. So maybe there is one that works best on iOS with flotilla?

During the flotilla onboarding it mentions things like signers and bunkers in a way that makes it seem like that’s the correct way to do it. Once you’re in, it also says you should use a signer if you want to enable DMs (which is odd because that seems like a core functionality of the app, so why are they disabled by default?). But there’s no guidance or explanation. So it feels like flotilla is *for* Nostr power users right now
Signers are the right way to do things, the intent is to nudge people in that direction. Ultimately, signers shouldn't be a power user thing, even though they are right now. DMs are disabled because decrypting them means spamming your signer, which is annoying. Having the confirmation dialog is the cleanest way I've come up with to defer decryption until the user wants it. But I'll look at the wording of all this stuff.

I agree with you that signers are the way everyone should do things. So just make that the process. Users can follow that flow if you guide them through it. But they will never do it if it’s only optional. Maybe work directly with Aegis to optimize the onboarding flow. And work with Aegis to ensure that the decryption flow isn’t annoying like you describe. App devs should partner with the signer devs probably
