When you strip away all this political theatre the one thing that these hearings expose is the danger of centralized political power. This demon single handedly directed who got grant money for research, health priorities for the state to focus on and also pandemic policy. He did what those with absolute power do, abuse it. While he isn't the one at the top of the food chain, it's these evil bureaucrats that implement policies that kill people.
