I've used in a debian, raspberry pi 5 8gb, and umbrel home. It works everywhere, as long as you have a decent SSD. But I'd highly recommend umbrel home. Everything works so much better. I've killed my debian and I'm considering selling my used raspberry pi to buy a second umbrel home. Your choice. Wish you success!

I think you're right. I have a Start9 ans it works great. I've used rapis, old dell optiplexes, etc. They all break. Debian always dies. I just need to bite the bullet and buy an Umbrel instead of being a cheapskate.
