This keeps me up as well. For now this place feels like a refuge. Away from people playing the game to get attention, as the algos serve you up something to spike your dopamine or piss you off. So I wonder how the game changes here. People literally paying you to get attention? That sounds like a step in the right direction. I wonder how creators’ minds change about how they make content. I wonder how consumers minds change and if the feeling of not having wasted time after using Nostr scales to millions of users. Will attention spans lengthen or when short form vertical endless scrolling comes, will we just fall back into the old traps. Also what’s fascinating is that Bitcoiners are bootstrapping this network. Many Bitcoiners who I meet are simply fantastic, fascinating people. And they are the ones who will reap the rewards of joining early. Does Bitcoin culture permeate the entire network? 🍿⏳

gotta think that the change in actions that Bitcoiners experienced since learning about Bitcoin will permeate as Bitcoin does (even if it's too a slightly lesser degree) it seems like Nostr is inseparable from Bitcoin as zaps are one of the core killer features
Refuge is the perfect word to describe this place. And it also feels like a retreat, because you come away feeling energised as opposed to drained from doom scrolling traditional social media ⚡️
I think social media will reflect the extent to which Bitcoin changes our collective time preference
My mind already goes to more “dense” value adding in my vids and text. More incentive to stir up meaningful convos instead of most “quick tips” Hot takes that are actually important will become more rewarded as people reward actual good content with zaps. This cycle with the creators will keep feed itself 🪄 ALL with BTC and sovereignty become more to the forefront of it all, too ❤️
I opt-in to receive ads about nostr #mentoships and Q&A support. And about advertising business models for Nostr. All other sats for #advertising other things to me will be lost.
