historically i've been skeptical of democracy because in my view the result will be tyranny of the majority. however, i strongly agree with what's outlined in these "two baskets" described here. found myself trying to read the whole page. we should start a book club.
Yeah, one of the interesting points the books makes is not to equate democracy to the simple act of voting, but to the rights that citizens are entitled and voting being utilized as a correction mechanism that shouldn’t be able to topple those rights 💪
