Serious question Lyn.
Have you personally done the work on WHEN the existing cost curves of Solar, Wind and Batteries MIGHT converge to provide local system (not grid scale) energy density that would rival existing fossil fuel systems?
I have an intuition that this will be required for humanity to move to the next stage of civilization organisation.
Interconnected independent local systems instead of large scale centralised ones.

I think we'd need to reach like, self-replicating solar satellite bots for that. Until then, energy dense sources win.
In the meantime, I also think OTEC is among the best ways to capture solar energy in the long run for equatorial coastal communities, who can also export it. It lets the solar energy concentrate in the ocean and then captures it. There's a bunch of bitcoiners working on that.
