Do what you feel man and let others do the same. Bitcoin and Nostr are slowly moved forward over time by whichever bitcoiners / Nostriches have the time and energy to evangelize. Many do not, will not, or have stopped evangelizing which is fine. That is where they are one the path, you may find yourself there someday too. It sounds crazy, but been a hardcore Bitcoin evangelist and educator for years now and I totally understand how one arrives at just letting people figure it out for themselves. Those in the cave are often ready to kill you for disrupting their shadows dancing…

No you don’t, fam. Shit was a TOTAL MINEFIELD even in 2017. Like Bip39 (human readable seed word abstraction) wasn’t even proposed until late 2013 - just proposed, not even widely adopted. 2017 bitcoining we goofy AF but pre 2017 bitcoining was fucking calamitous. Like I had a “missed opportunity” to turn to bitcoin in 2013, but that would have sent me straight to MtGox and I wouldn’t have even questioned that as I was Magic: The Gathering adjacent kid in middle/high school. I can only shudder to image the mental damage that being caught up in MtGox would have done to me. The result would be that I’d probably be a bitter, black pilled bitcoin hater with no Bitcoin at all. Now is the absolute best risk-adjusted time to get into bitcoin. Someone starting today who stays humble, stacks sats, and takes self custody could easily wind up with more bitcoin that many people who first touched bitcoin in earlier waves. #plebchain

as i say, it takes commitment to exit the system and there will be a ton of resistance, from yourself, your family , your friends, and a lot of pushback. it takes a really strong minded individual to move away from the slop, because the big tech dopamine addiction is a really bad drug, and withdrawl hurts. nostr is rehab
