Found a ghost pipe in the wild! It’s a rare all white wildflower doesn’t photosynthesize, it steals food from fungi connected to trees. Spotted in the Adirondacks. Nerd knowledge from reading Entangled Life 🍄‍🟫 image

Hah, right? I think it gets nutrients from the tree and the fungi is the conduit. But regardless it’s pretty wild

These grow here (though we still call em Indian pipes). I remember hearing they taste like asparagus, but I found them much less flavourful. Did you harvest them?
