I’ve had two different ones, I liked them, never loved them. Massive problem with short battery life, and they’re really expensive for what they are. I highly recommend checking out the Amazfit Active 2. Looks great (round) has almost all the tracking Apple does, and 5 days of battery life. Some drawbacks from not being in the Apple ecosystem, but the benefits outweigh that.

General dislike of all smartwatches, prefer classic Swatch or the oldskool Casio F-91W
Real answer for me is I generally dislike ANY watch that's going to require me to charge it on a regular interval. For me that's a no go. I sleep with my watch and jewelry on pretty regularly. I take it off to shower, keep jewelry on in the shower. My gold bracelets almost never leave my wrist and my rings never do. I like to use things for at least a decade. Easiet way is to never take em off. I do have a rubber band Casio I switch to on occasion. Same goes for my shoes and clothes though. I wear them until the stitching is fading and ripping apart from so many washes. I wear shoes until the soles fall off. For me, things on my person, whether it be a watch, clothes, my gun or my knife, are ultimately tools. I buy tools that last and use them until they just don't work anymore and fix em up when they break down and keep going too. In short. Smart watches and apple watch seem very high time preference to me. A watch has a simple function. Tell time.
Just a Bluetooth device bro. My wife just bought me some new ones. I've had the first gen ones for like 3 or 4 years now. They still work good, just hold a charge less than they used to. FYI, I'm not an apple person at all. Every once in a while they build something actually nice and I can get it for a good price. While I hate Apple and their ecosystem of shit, the airpods are just a Bluetooth device and they work great with my android phones and pc and when you can get them on sale, it's a good deal. Other Apple exceptions: ipod Video 5th gen.

I like the Apple Watch for exercise. Gives me a good heart rate monitor. Not a fan of them tracking all my bios by wearing it all day tho.
For sure. Im generally a simple, analog watch guy. I recently go into the garmins for their slightly better stance on independence and privacy. Mine does not have "watch downloads" turned on so it's a watch only, the app is basically just there for updates. I have the Instinct 2. I get almost 1 month per charge, and it only takes about 30 mins to fully charge on a slow charger. I charge it when I take it off to shower. When using the GPS or workout tracking features it uses much more battery, i'd say it cuts time in half, so a charge every 2 weeks or so. I recently stopped tracking my training because it's just too much to pay attention to. It's too easy to mess the numbers up. So I just stick to pen and paper.

I have one of their red ones that was some kind of fundraiser, I like that it tracks my sleep and I can set timers and alarms for my kids lesson times with it or control the volume on my phone or scrub around a video with it. Like others I tend to feel if it’s batter could last half a day longer it would be better but I got it on sale because it was some of the last fundraiser ones left.
No. I use an analog watch to tell time and help prevent me from looking at my phone so much.

For me yes, but it’s the convenience, not love of Apple. I am moving most other things to freedom tech, but Apple Watch and phone will likely be the last to go. 😬
I hate Apple for being closed source NSA wiretapping and overpriced devices.

I have one but use it just for limited functionality: Workout tracking. Timers. Quick weather check. The photo face is occasionally heartwarming.
Seems pretty conspiratorial that apple is out there collecting brain activity with airpods, (that have no way to interact with external servers) especially when paired as a Bluetooth device to an android phone with no other additional software. What's the incentive? They already have nearly half the market work phones in their pocket loaded with their os with cameras, gps, microphones and all the rest.

Your asking me the incentives? You can't put 2 and 2 together?
