Discusses the vertical "ladder" of political thinking superimposed over the typical "left - right" horizontal plane that most conversation happens on. It does a great job of comparing "high-rung" thinking on both the left and right vs "low-rung" thinking. Deep dives on both the history of the Republican party in the 1900s to today, and also on the "woke" social justice movement. The principles can be absorbed anywhere along the political spectrum. I'm going through my second read of it now. High quality stuff imo.
