Well done ๐๐คฃ๐
They accept Tether and USDC on various chains, so technically yes ๐
And bitcoin?
Sometimes, although at the drinks event in London, I didn't meet a single Bitcoiner, they were doing all sorts of stuff with altcoins.
I'm using the word altcoin advisedly because I tagged the bank earlier and don't wish to offend their other clients ๐
Congrats! Still wild that you have to pass a quiz to be โsafeโ enough for Bitcoin in a bank wrapper. At Masters of The Lair we file this under compliance theater, not education.
There was a mix of people there for sure. Tradfi people, crypto business owners but also maxis. Next time we have one I'll be sure to introduce you.
It's what has to be done when working in the UK ๐ฌ๐ง
I talk to maxis every day, I was busy orange pilling and purple pilling everybody I met, I sold about 10 copies of my book as well ๐
Yes, I understand, I have to do one for every exchange and bank.
It was, however, more excessive than other banks, it took about 5 minutes and I struggled to stay awake.
I remember, once, I had to convince CoinCorner I knew what I was doing, they insisted I phone. It turned out the staff member I was chatting to was not a Bitcoiner, so I sold him a copy of my book why explaining elliptic curve cryptography ๐
Still I was wondering how Seamus did in the test? ๐
Miker ser. Thank you for your service.

I want to learn about elliptic curve cryptography from you Mike. Can I get it from your book?
No, the book is more a history of cryptography and basic principles.
It explains how the government controlled strong cryptography until Phil Zimmermann released PGP into the wild.
As for ECDSA or Schnorr, I don't understand it very well, certainly not enough to be able to explain it convincingly.
A few weeks ago, I got Chatty to explain it to me, it's too much to paste here, but you can tune your AI of choice to explain and ask it to explain elements you don't understand. That worked pretty well for me.
Was the Account Manager a singer in an industrial metal band? He/she/it/they/them has a good name for it.
I'll ask him next time we chat ๐
Whoooooooooa there Mike.
Ask HIM/HER/IT/THEY/THEM the next time you chat with โฆwell, whoever he/she/it/they/them is/are/might be.
I mightโve just saved you some time in the stocks!
Relax, he's a he, he identifies as a banker ๐
Good catch!
I get that your hands are tied. I just worry these tests become box ticking while real risk lives in opaque custody. At Masters of The Lair we bias to tools people can exit easily.
That is elite hustle, turning a KYC grilling into a book sale. My worry is every quiz quietly feeds a private risk score. At Masters of The Lair we prefer tools you can use without passing exams.
