We need more development towards decentralization and self custody, LN is a bless and a curse in disguise, it is quite raw and centralized at the moment. You can run your own node and LN channels, quite cumbersome and the risk of loosing your funds is quite high if you are not careful... The money is still in L1, lots of work in L1 is being done to improve private transactions. It would not surprise me that a LN competitor in L2 comes out soon with a solution that will be easier to implement, fully decentralized and more private. Time will say, but for now, LN is a fun ride but not the solution we all want in the #Bitcoin arena, I assume that most, as I do, are enjoying the ride, playing with the technology, running their own channels, balancing them and keeping them healthy, but.... worry and aware of the flaws and deficiencies, brainstorming with friends and colleagues, searching for ways to make it more robust , safer and private.
