⚡️❌ The X account of Dean Norris, a leading actor in Breaking Bad, was hacked to promote a Memecoin. It's become increasingly difficult to distinguish between legitimate celebrity mentions and scams. The token rose to $7 million marketcap before rug and losing 90%. This is the second time Dean Norris has had his account hacked to promote a Memecoin after September 2024. The hackers even shared a fake image of Norris holding a notepad with the Memecoin ticket and date to appear more legitimate. Norris got his account back and posted a video where he declares, "Hey, it's Dean Norris, actually, all this crazy crypto shit was a complete fake scam. I got hacked and I just got it back". That’s why people should stop using centralized platforms like X. Instead they should use cryptography-oriented platforms like Nostr.

I can’t prove it, but heard a rumour about the Coldcard Q and signing more than just Bitcoin transactions. Yes, NOSTR. …but I mean, of course that’s inevitable. Social media cold storage.

I use @alby on desktop as well for the extension and I run albyhub locally. Amber on android and it is awesome. That has upped my mobile usage a lot since I didn't trust putting my nsec in just any app. Especially after I decided to stick to one identity.

I don't use ios myself, but think I have heard people talking about damus and nostur both being able to do event signing? Not sure though @jb55 would be able to tell you, he made damus.
