Photovoltaics Tip #2 In summer, you will have surplus of electricity. The electric boiler is therefore no-brainer. This way you can have ~half of the year hot water for free*. Good idea is to have 3-phase heating spirial. This way you have basically the 3 independent heating elements (ideally 1.2kW each). Then you manage it in a way that you turn on/off those separate spirals so you can regulate consumption based on the amount of your surplus power. This way you: - don't overload one phase with 2-3kW spiral (basic invertors have limit around 3kW + they will start overheating if you run them at 3kW for long time) - you won't be using your batteries that much, so it will prolong their lifespan (in island mode) - you won't use expensive grid power when you have free solar one (in hybrid - grid connected mode) *Ofc, the FV system comes with the aquisition costs.
