For the gardeners #asknostr when saving zinnia seeds do you leave the dried petals attached or do you take the time to pluck them off? #bloomstr #garden #grownostr

Yeah I would crunch the petals up if the seed is hard enough and use the wind of breathe with them in a bowl to lightly separate some of the chaff.
Sometimes I say forget it and I’ll just save some petals too bud they could mold if they aren’t dried all the way.
The words from our ancestors that we have lost from lack of use. 😅 If I was ontop of my game I would have used “Threshing” instead of “crunching them up a bit”
Seen a lot of people online who save zinnia seeds still attached to the dried petals. It’s a bit tedious to pluck each petal off the seed. So I’m going to try that for this year. Besides the petals all the other chaff is discarded already.
Well they’re yours now nostr:nprofile1qqs9n2vvq3u5faj75s8nwe24tmjcn06sxcl57lw02k2vxkzthvfl7espz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezu6nrd3hh2epwv4eszxnhwden5te0wfjkccte9enk2arpd338jtnrdakj7a33hkrfqv 🤣😂 Petals are well dried and I stored them in a paper bag. Congratulations!!!
