How many people can you verify in person? Plus accounts can be sold/stolen etc. I don’t mean getting in front of a camera to verify. A proof of funds (maybe a locked up amount of bitcoin) or @Michael Dunworth had an idea of “Proof of worker” which would verify you as hashing on the network. If we don’t do something every single thing you see will have a question mark over it.
