MashaAllah! There's like five of us that just got the pixel 9a. We definitely should exchange notes as I have no idea or plan on the best way to use it. I just know I'm not logging into anything Google on it, going to be using it for Bitcoin and nostr stuff mainly

Who are the others? And by the way, you can still use the Google Play Store and all the apps in it. Log in anonymously, and you gotta put the sketchy apps into their own silo using secondary profiles. For work reasons, I still have WhatsApp on mine, for example, but if you properly isolate it from the rest of the system, I don't see any issues with that. It's nicely explained here:
