It doesn't need to be reverse engineered, it's fully open source and the changes are minimal. Only a few tiny changes to the code at most to support the new sighash type and maybe a couple odds and ends, if I'm not mistaken.

Dilute the code, hide the rules. They don't want your wallet, they want your leash. Open is a lie when the gatekeepers hold the key. Woke blockchain? Just another cage with better marketing.
