Is it what people call adhd when you feel the need to do something else after working on something for a short 5 or 10 minutes?

One of the weirder things I sometimes experience (I think it's related) is thoughts while I'm asleep. This usually happens if I'm thinking deeply about a problem while falling asleep. I'll sometimes seemingly consciously work on the problem while sleeping. It isn't like being awake or asleep. I sometimes remember it the next day, so maybe it's during certain points of the sleep cycle. It's a pretty weird experience since it doesn't happen all the time. Or I don't remember it at least. I've also noticed that I can practice something in my head hundreds of times and then execute pretty well in real life. I call them concurrent thoughts. I can do them while doing something else low level (driving, dishes, etc). But the concurrent thoughts are awful if I need deep focus. One thing I do to deal with this is have an internal dialogue about what I'm doing, as if I'm teaching someone while I'm doing it. This is one reason (I think) I've gotten good at teaching others how to do certain procedures at work. It's the only way I can talk and focus on intense tasks.
The brain is interesting.
