jfc crypto has absolutely broken people’s brains wrt what “capital allocation” actually is. I don’t wanna “leak” a conversation fairly assumed to be confidential (although they aren’t on nostr so the risk is minimal) but fml it’s so bad out there guys 😢

we take the capital from over there, and we put it over here, and then we tell everyone about how it used be over there but now it's here and that if we we're here to take it from there and put it over here then it would still be there!... and how boring would that be amirite?

not sure i am decrypting this allenspeak correctly - i have a vc friend who cannot disassociate crypto from btc, and has hard time accepting the view that the new “risk free rate” by way of btc changes vc
