So, #CloakedWireless throttles to 128kbps after you exhaust your high-speed data allotment. Android has functionality to simulate slow network speeds, and 128 is one of the options, so I gave it a try to see what would and would not work. I was unable to stream audio podcasts in any form, even when I tried putting it down to 0.9x speed. My nostr clients absolutely refused. Mastodon and Lemmy both worked, though Lemmy was quite slow to load at first I was able to browse the cloaked wireless website, so I assume that I should be able to get into my account dashboard and add a data pass if I needed it. And last but not least, I noticed no problems with messaging apps such as SimpleX or Signal whatsoever.
