Saying the solution is Android is like saying the solution right now is a Republican. Zoom out.

Truth. The solution is decentralizing. Money Social media Politics Food Perspective Everything
You CAN strip most of that out, unlike Apple stuff. But it's not simple, by design. There is no easy button.
It's not Android or Apple. It's not this problem or a new problem... I don't think "get an android" is the solution. Does that make sense? πŸ™ƒπŸ˜‚
I'm on android, using amethyst cleint. And I think it's a dangerous precident. Google could take the same action. Independent app stores that take sats ?? But I have belief in the nostr devs and the wider community to create usable workarounds. image
If your phone is jail-broke/rooted and the individual hardware is supported by an install. Or you may have an expensive brick. The average user will not do this.
I noted before this exact same thing. ZOOM OUT people. We here all understand and are heading in the right direction
The average Android user is not much better, sadly. And that's the majority of the smartphone market.
What I am saying is going from one App Store to the next (Apple / Google) is not solving the bigger problem which neither is the solution for.
I would say it's a step in the right direction, since you can sideload, for now, but it isn't far enough. FOSS android forks and mainline/libre Linux phones would probably be the closest to a solution for smartphones

The solution has always been Android and Linuxmint..😁
I’m gonna try pitching Graphene OS to my wife, we’ll see if she goes for it. What is the best device to run it on? We had a bad Samsung experience lol
