Maybe. This is the argument why bezos bought the Washington post for example. I just don't think they are out to crush dreams as ther main thing. I'd agree with you if you said their main purpose is to spin their message or get influence. So perhaps I'm splitting hairs. At the end, they really don't care about us anyway.

They don't care about helping us. They do care about using us.
