If you preach open-source and open protocols, but, you use iPhone and Apple products, why?

Because to support open source ecosystems you have to support Google because the FOSS community is braindead and decided the Pixel of all phones was the best phone to put Graphene on.
Pixels are some of the most unreliable phones on the market. I’ve owned 3 phones from Google, all were defective and two literally don’t boot. I’ve owned pixel buds and they broke after a year and a half.
And then there’s the fact that graphene is just fucking Android and it suffers from all the issues of Android. iOS is a far better experience long term. Neither is good.
I have an iPhone 15 pro max and a pixel 6 pro with GrapheneOS. Apple is infinitely more trustworthy than Google. A team of 20 could build something better than Android with Linux that is compatible with Android apps in a month if they wanted to. Maybe fork an early version. Google fucked AOSP. Android is a shit OS to build off of. And now with steam FEX we can translate x86 programs to ARM. We can and should run fully capable OSs on our phones.
because if you want to build an apple pie from scratch you must first invent the universe
