While I thought I was improving my health by consuming #spinach, beets, sweet potatoes, nuts, dark chocolate, chia seeds, quinoa, turmeric, and green tea - Sally K Norton’s work helped me realize I had essentially unintentionally poisoned myself with an oxalate-heavy diet for the past five years of being mainly #vegetarian. This entire experience made me question: - Why are these foods specifically being recommended by governments and media? - Why are women so compelled towards oxalate-heavy diets? - Why are we being encouraged to self-poison? Sally and I discuss these questions through the economic lens because, Bitcoin ^^ as well as the western spiritual lens since most of us are #vegans and vegetarians consuming diets high in these foods robbing us of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and of our overall vitality and #self-sovereignty. https://youtu.be/sbDJUcHDUmo I posted this talk to YouTube to continue to reach a broad audience (and because it was too large for Nostr and the compression tools - if you have tips let me know #AskNostr) - but other than my YouTube channel, I am #NostrOnly: None of my videos are monetized I have no sponsors There are no paywalls My goal is just #signal So if there are any ads in this video it is YouTube running them 100% to their profit. If this happens, consider using Brave Browser (which blocks YouTube ads) or listen on my website: daniella.io/not-podcast/sally-k-norton/ Sally is not on Nostr but you can learn more about her work on her website: sallyknorton.com/toxic_superfoods/ Thanks, enjoy the talk ✨

To really over stand what constitutes a healthy diet is difficult- however it pays off to start with traditions older than the vegetarian version of the Standard American Hippie diet 😂 and go deeper into its origins which are largely from Asia and specifically from Japan where the study of Acid/Alkaline foods as it relates to the balance of yin/yang energies was a school and practice unto itself and did, in fact, start the so called Health food movement in the US in the 1950’s. Almost all of the foods you listed are very acidic—which sets up the perfect conditions for disease 🦠 Also the addition of alkaline fermentations is largely unknown to the west who impose British Hygiene standards on everything and hate the very idea of foreign ways of doing fermentation— other than beer and cheese 🧀 which are also acidic. The Japanese learnt from the People’s Republic of Fermentation aka China and perfected the art of alkaline fermentation which nourishes the gut microbiome and enhances the nutritional quality of food.
