she is really good at what she does
she is in a pretty timeless clockless flow state giving ~a lot~
it is pretty extraordinary to witness
it is also wild to assess strategically as in, what she goes after, how she fights, what she wont speak about (gaza)
re: strategy it appears re: her understanding of fascism, that the president is a strongman, and so, weaken him by being ableist
as in, where she gets fascist, like lets fight fascist with fascist, is on ageism and disability
it is wild to me how much she goes after him on mental incompetence grounds
and you miss all that, you give all that up, if you identify as too ancap to handle a woman historian
look at how embarrassing this is:
like hcr is the premiere lezzo stud out here just stealing wives
do you know what a bad husband you gotta be to lose your wife this way?
heather isnt radical. she is ~extremely~ consensus reality on most if not all issues, very well researched, always out there inventing new questions to ask and strategizing where to find sources to even get answers in expertly mundane and sensible ways that only seem obvious in retrospect
she makes it look so damn easy

the article could be titled: when two supremacists clash

"Their truce had limitations, because “anything intellectual turned philosophical turned political,” as Tom put it.
And because Kate couldn’t help herself."
And because Kate couldn’t help herself
And because Kate couldn’t help herself
And because Kate couldn’t help herself
Kate was too voracious
Kate was too hungry
Kate was an insatiable woman with an appetite
Kate had no discipline
Kate had no sense of time and occasion
Kate had no sense of priority
(i have a video i will link later, and its gonna be great)
reread objectively:
In Kate, a “hardcore liberal feminist” with a Ph.D. in history, he found a “fellow traveler” of the world’s philosophical terrain, he said. She had an easy, inherent joy, but she could also throw her weight around in conversations about geopolitics: “A rare kind of somebody.”
Kate:
- “hardcore liberal feminist”
- with a Ph.D. in history,
- easy, inherent joy,
- could also throw her weight around in conversations about geopolitics
- “A rare kind of somebody.”
i mean, i bet she can help herself, i bet she does have discipline, i bet she is aware of time, place, occasion, priority, it actually isnt effortless to have easy inherent joy that's a choice
in all likelihood wasn't taken, wasn't stolen, dont need to infantilize Kate, chose to detonate her marriage
so if she chose this, with agency
w h y
well first of all, maybe it is embarrassing that her husband calls other people muggles
but then again, wanting to vote for Genocide Harris, maybe she loves viewing people as muggles, too
anyway, it doesnt sound like he was into his wife, and she doesnt sound into him
and they both sound mean
and so, idk
probably better off
