Damn, that's too early for a dishwasher to break. I’d be annoyed too... mine (a Siemens) just broke last week after 16 years and I was still disappointed.

If it isn't a control board, most parts can be replaced without tooooo much trouble.
They seem to die faster these days

Tech said it was the drain pump replaced that then ran a test cycle and noticed a burning smell. That’s when he said the control board is fried all the repairs would have cost me $700
