If you're interested in the topic but not familiar with secure messaging protocols, don't feel intimidated — I'm just a web developer and managed to implement the double ratchet library. You need just basic web development and computer science skills, curiosity and capacity to learn.

The fact that you can implement Signal on top of Nostr should be all anyone needs to know
The only thing I expect from nostr is to find users who care about self-custody. Those who custody their network ID. This not optional, it is a choice.
Therefore, In case you want to sell something in that shopping app, make sure you also list it in Amazon. Don't lose a penny.
My advise is general about any extension of nostr.
