I don't think so. GrapheneOS is the way. It depends on AOSP however and Google could one day pull the plug (close source) but low risk for now
I'll basically have a shitty cheap "normal" phone for what society wants, and primary phone to do what I want with that isn't caged by Google (got my eyes on BraX3)

Since we're on Nostr..either stores dev team members creators starts concentrating building a regular linux based or a linux Nostr-based app stores and slowly persuades app creators to start building a regular linux-based apps or a linux Nostr-based apps and users slowly switching to linux phones OOOOOOR...we can still use Graphene and do this. Hope is not lost.
