So as a non tech person and the coldcard incident…what does it take to trust/verify myself any piece of hardware now?

I feel extremely lucky. I haven’t been checking NOSTR other than once/week. The one day I checked on it I heard about the coldcard incident. I can’t image what it would be like to be in other people’s shoes who lost it all. Kinda feel like I missed a bullet

So out of curiosity, I was looking online to go the seedsigner route, however it seems that access to rasberry pi zeros are fairly limited and out of stock. Did i miss something? or are they just difficult to come by?

So instead of relying on the coldcard to make a seed phrase, can i have another device make the seed phrase and then recover on a cold card? Then could i add a passphrase and roll dice ontop of that? Since the only thing wrong with the cold card is the seed generator, but everything else seems to be rock solid #asknostr

So then if I'm headed to multi-sig, which vendors can I trust then? #asknostr
