As a reminder, you can get sats without ID (which are the best kind of sats!) I've been messing around with @Hodl Hodl now that they added lightning and it's pretty seamless. Definitely worth testing if anyone gets the chance. I'll have a tutorial for that when Sovereign Sessions launches this August, but it's basically the same flow as on-chain with some small differences. Feel free to check out my previous tutorial: HODLHODL website is here: Oh and this video is totally unrelated... but also useful.

Yeah it was pretty smooth. I was recording it during the beta rollout as there were limits to the size of orders, but it worked no prob. By the time it's released there should be no limits. Hopefully lots of people put up offers!
By the way, bitcoin Core V31 could leak your IP node. Are you willing to talk about how Core is turn into malware or just let people decide what implementation to run? Grow some balls Ben.

yeah HodlHodl's solid. curious what you're finding works better with the lightning setup?
You are selling Stay Private! so what do you think about another bug, this time a serious security one, in the reference implementation. Maybe you can elaborate on that. For me, is a top priority for privacy.

He means, you calling him out for having no balls is making him double down on his bias. Typical no balls move.
The guy makes a living off Bitcoin and has a family to feed. His income comes from maintaining is connections in the industry. I would love for him to come out in support of bip110 and take a stand but even I would admit, when my family is on the line, that's a hard ask. This fight will be won by people like you and me; anons and pleb. We will fight and win and people like Ben and others will follow where the wind blows and that's ok because they will capitulate with the group.
I can say here that there is zero consequence for me in regards to sponsors if I were to say I like bip110. None of them have said a single thing about it to me, nor do they care about how I approach it. My decision to let people make up their own minds and not attempt to sway people's opinions either direction is entirely my own. Personally, I think everyone has already made up their own minds at this point and it wouldn't change anything - so that's factored into my decision. I'm running what I want to, and I have my thoughts on how things will play out - which may be right or wrong. Regardless of how things play out, I'll still be using Bitcoin as money in the fall and working to build my local community/educate people on Bitcoin & freedom tech.
@BTC Sessions Pick a side then… if you are not captured by fucking sponsors you have nothing to lose. Being apathetic to a security risk on Bitcoin and allowing scammers to run free on the network proves you are captured - unless you say otherwise. Audience capture is terrible but being a Bitcoin channel sponsored by companies is even more insanely stupid. Major attack vector and this whole debate is the obvious reason why.
