This is so true. Years ago we instituted “push” and “pull” days. Some days must be pull days, less active or full on rest days. What are 2 even more powerful lessons is when you realize: 1. building is exciting. debugging and eliminating fluff is cathartic. it's a full cycle.
As with nearly everything; it depends. People like myself have a gift for finding the bugs and UX issues. I can and do “build” but usually lead a project…I excel at quickly grabbing hold of vision and putting legs to it. Transposing ideas from the C-suite down to those on and under the proverbial ground doing the building. So it really just depends on the person.
